    Job Summary:

    The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in the Transition program obtains didactic classroom and hands on skills training enhanced with a clinical preceptorship. The nurse will be responsible for independently utilizing the nursing process to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for women before, during and after delivery of the baby based on HMNMH's policies, procedures and all regulatory requirements. Responsible for ensuring that the nursing as well as the emotional needs of the patient are adequately met throughout the entire birthing process.

    What Youll Bring to the Team:

    Circulation in C-Section recovery room experience within 6 months of starting program Knowledge of Model Hospital initiatives with supporting education documentation within 6 months of starting program Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills Critical thinking skills Problem solving skills Basic computer skills

    Licensure and Certification:

    Current CA RN license Current BLS, and ACLS provider cards NRP provider card within 6 months of starting program

    Education:

    Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) required Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred

    Experience:

    Minimum of one (1) year of acute care RN experience
