Job Title: Clinical Services Manager Classification: Exempt
Reports to: Director of Clinical Services Effective Date: 4/2021
Summary:
The Compliance Manager will oversee all compliance and TJC and facility requirements as well as oversight of Account Management Coordinators and Recruitment Support Specialists. This position will also provide support to Director of Clinical Services.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee all compliance activities including FlexCare/TJC requirements and facility requirements.
- Assist with remediation for contract clinicians after failed math/dysrhythmia exams.
- Assist with responding to, evaluation of, providing guidance, and counseling to the travel employees in response to client concerns about travel employee’s clinical performance.
- Assist with responding, evaluating, and providing guidance to travel employee in response to travel employee’s clinical concerns with travel assignment.
- Make recommendations to help determine the appropriateness of travel employee’s continued employment with FlexCare following assignment cancellations for clinical or professional reasons.
- Perform professional license reviews, as requested, to determine eligibility for employment for travelers with a license disciplinary action history.
- Submit complaints to appropriate Board(s) of Nursing, as requested.
- Creation of blog/content, as requested
- Act as backup clinical resource to all FlexCare employees.
- Participate with development and revisions of policies and procedures related to compliance and Joint Commission Certification requirements.
- Act as resource related to Joint Commission Certification standards.
- Other activities as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite programs, web-based databases, and be internet savvy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent conflict management and negotiation skills.
- Strong ability to multi-task as department or workload dictates
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years Clinical Registered Nurse Experience
- Ability to interpret EKG rhythms
- 1-year Supervisory experience
- Compliance experience highly preferred, i.e., experience within a Staffing Office or with onboarding Travel Healthcare Clinicians.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position will supervise Account Management Coordinators and Recruitment Support Specialists.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
