SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE for eligible Non-MGB employees:$3,000 for LCSW and $10,000 for LICSWStarting rates:LCSW: $68,224LICSW: $92,227The Emergency Department Social Worker, who meets with patients in the Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital Emergency Department, provides support and utilizes a diverse set of clinical interventions, as well as develops appropriate discharge plans, while addressing a variety of psychosocial needs, including limited support/resources, adjustment to illness, psychiatric/behavioral health concerns, substance use, DV/IPV, sexual assault, community violence, human trafficking, and abuse/neglect of protected individuals. This Emergency Department social worker regularly collaborates with multidisciplinary team members within Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital and within Mass General Brigham, as well as with staff from programs/entities outside of Mass General Brigham.General Summary:The Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW) is a key member of the interdisciplinary team who provides and oversees the provision of psychosocial care for selected patients and families. Conducts bio-psychosocial assessments, provides intervention and treatment as indicated. Identifies high risk psychosocial factors of patients/families that impact health status and helps hospital staff understand the influence of those factors upon the course of medical care. Assumes clinical evaluation, intervention and planning for patients with complex psychosocial risk (homelessness, protective services, frail elderly, disabled, psychiatric and substance abuse, etc.). Works effectively as part of interdisciplinary health care teams. Provides clinical services to patients/families that address psychosocial, environmental, age-specific and cultural issues in order to maximize emotional, social and physical well being and the effective use of health care and community resources. Collaborates with and provides social work consultation to other disciplines within the setting and community. Participates in Departmental, Hospital, Satellite, community task forces and committees.Qualifications
