Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Clinical Staff Pharmacist for a short-term coverage assignment at a behavioral health facility in the Johnstown, CO area. This role will support pharmacy operations, including medication verification, dispensing, and Pyxis management in collaboration with pharmacy leadership.
Assignment Details:
Coverage Dates: April 29 – May 5
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm
On-call required after hours (begins April 28 at midnight) and weekends
Training:
- 1–2 days during the week of April 20
- April 27–28
Requirements:
- Active Colorado Pharmacist License in good standing
- Acute inpatient behavioral health experience required
- Experience with HCS order entry preferred
- Experience with Pyxis ES preferred (training available)
Responsibilities:
- Order verification
- Medication dispensing to units/Pyxis
- Pyxis troubleshooting and support
- Clinical decision support for medical staff
Additional Info:
- Weekend coverage is on-call only
- On-call will primarily support urgent medication needs and Pyxis troubleshooting
- Dress code: Business casual
Credentialing Requirements:
- Background check
- Drug screen
- TB test
- Active CO Pharmacist License verification
- Fingerprinting (instructions provided)
- HIPAA training
- Code of Conduct attestation
