Responsibilities


The Clinical Coordinator is accountable for promoting excellence in clinical nursing practice and is responsible for knowledge driven outcomes management, advance clinical practice, education to staff, patient, family and community. The Stroke Clinical Coordinator performs patient evaluations, counsels patients / families and collaborates with physicians and other members of the health care team to provide other appropriate direct care interventions. The Stroke Clinical Coordinator will transfer clinical information via telephone, the Internet or other networks for the purpose of consulting for remote examinations and medical procedures. With the goal of maintaining a JCAHO-accredited Stroke Program, providing the highest level of stroke and rehabilitative care for our patients, and establishing our reputation within the community as a Neurological Center of Excellence, the Stroke Clinical Coordinator will assist with the clinical operations and resources tobring about the successful completion of this goal and vision for St. Rose Dominican Hospitals.


Qualifications


+ Three to five years RN clinical experience in acute care nursing with education emphasis

+ Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

+ RN:NV; BLS-CPR; ACLS
