Apple's Biophotonics group is seeking a Clinical Study Operations Associate. The candidate will join a team of innovative scientists and engineers to develop a new generation of bio sensing technologies. The role's primary function is to support planning and executing clinical and user studies and other ongoing experimental efforts within the team.
Assist in the design and execution of clinical studies to provide reliable and meaningful data for prototype evaluation.
Assist internal and external groups to develop study protocols, plans, budgets, and schedules for clinical studies.
Manage execution and logistics of clinical studies.
Serve as a conduit between development, experimental and analysis teams to ensure study design and execution are consistent with study objectives.
Collaborate with team members to communicate study progress, results, schedule and budget to project team.
Monitor the quality and completeness of datasets returned from clinical studies in progress.
Train external collaborators on study procedures and monitor their performance.
Extended domestic travel to vendor sites is required.
Bachelors degree in biology, chemistry, biomedical engineering or a related life sciences or engineering discipline
Experience conducting clinical research studies for medical devices in industry or academic settings
Able to travel extensively within the US
Experience conducting health sensing medical device clinical studies
Background in chemistry / biology
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
