Job Title: Clinical Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Location: Remote ,(but candidate needs to be in CA)
Duration: 06 months contract
Description
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the development, validation, and clinical adoption of an ai-powered device.
This role will provide clinical leadership and domain expertise for image-based planning workflows related to:
- Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO) using the Amulet platform
- Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement (TMVR) using the Cephea platform
- CT-based procedural planning and patient screening
- AI-assisted anatomical segmentation, measurement, and device sizing workflows
The SME will serve as a key bridge between clinicians, product development, AI/ML teams, clinical affairs, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure heart.ai solutions address real-world procedural planning needs and align with clinical practice.
Desired Skillset:
- 7+ years of experience in Structural Heart, Interventional Cardiology, Cardiac Imaging, or related cardiovascular specialties.
- Deep knowledge of structural heart interventions including:
- Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO)
- Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement (TMVR)
- Structural heart patient screening and procedural planning
- Experience supporting procedures involving:
- Abbott Amulet
- MitraClip / Mitral interventions
- Cephea TMVR or similar transcatheter valve technologies
- Strong understanding of structural heart anatomy and device sizing methodologies
Cardiac Imaging & CT Planning
- Advanced expertise in Cardiac CT interpretation and analysis
- Experience performing or supporting:
- CT-based procedural planning
- Anatomical measurements
- Device sizing assessments
- Pre-procedural screening workflows
- Familiarity with 3D cardiac reconstruction and post-processing software
- Understanding of segmentation techniques and anatomical modeling
Clinical Workflow Knowledge
- Ability to map real-world physician workflows into software requirements
- Experience working directly with:
- Interventional Cardiologists
- Structural Heart Programs
- Imaging Specialists
- Clinical Affairs teams
- Strong understanding of procedural decision-making and care pathways
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $71.00-$75.00 per hour.
