The Clinical Supervision Specialist, On Your Marq is responsible for clinical supervision for 14+ clinical mental health graduate-level interns. This position will also supervise non-clinical graduate students, the social emotional support coach position, manage daily program operations, and provide ongoing counseling for up to 5 program participants. The role supports budget management, oversees service delivery for current and prospective students, and helps lead recruitment, applicant review, and orientation. This position serves as a key liaison to the Marquette community, families, schools, and external organizations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for clinical supervision for 14+ clinical mental health graduate-level interns on a weekly basis, including a minimum of one hour of individual supervision and two hours of group supervision per week. Responsibilities also include oversight of intern personnel matters such as hiring, termination, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, training and development, etc.
  • Responsible for the supervision of non-clinical graduate students, and professional staff which includes but is not limited to hiring, terming, disciplinary actions, performance management, staff development, etc. Assist with providing new employee orientation, meet with individual staff regularly to assess performance and provide feedback; provide and participate in ongoing staff development opportunities.
  • Manages daily activities ensuring alignment with strategic goals and the continuous delivery of high-quality services. Oversees staff workflows, identifies areas for improvement, and implements actionable plans that support program effectiveness and growth.
  • Provides counseling services for up to 5 program students as needed including, but not limited to: weekly meetings with students, communication with student's family, faculty members and campus support offices.
  • Assist program director with management of the office including development and implementation of recruitment strategies as well as strategy for programmatic growth. Assist with administration of the budget to include forecasting student service fees against expenses necessary.
  • Coordinate service delivery for enrolled and prospective students. This includes but is not limited to: Personal communication, correspondence, and follow up (written, electronic, telephone) with current students, prospective students, their families and guidance counselors.
  • Drives innovation within the program by developing and implementing new initiatives, including workshops, seminars, and student experiences that enhance engagement and contribute Serves as a liaison between the On Your Marq program and the Marquette University community, prospective students and their families, local schools, and national or community organizations with an interest in the program

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Master's degree in Educational Psychology, Clinical, Social or equivalent

LPC or CRC licensed for a minimum of 5 years

A minimum of 5 years of experience providing counseling or case management services

Excellent communication skills (i.e. grammar, vocabulary) to be applied to presentations, telephone communications, and to written communications such as email, letters and memos

Effective problem solving and information gathering skills

Ability to function independently, be a creative thinker, and demonstrate strong compassion and support for neurodiverse young adults and their families and friends

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience in education/higher education
