Job Description

Build a New ACT Program From the Ground Up Achieve Behavioral Health is launching a new 68-capacity Adult Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program in Rockland County, and we are looking for an experienced behavioral health clinician and leader to help build it from the ground up. This is an opportunity for an experienced clinical professional to help create a program, build a team, establish the culture and clinical workflows, and shape how the program serves some of the countys highest-need adults. You will have the support and infrastructure of an established behavioral health organization while having a significant role in building this new program. Achieve Behavioral Health is one of New Yorks original CCBHC demonstration sites and has been serving individuals and families in Rockland and Orange Counties since 1981.

Build Something NewYou will help recruit and develop the multidisciplinary team, establish workflows, and create the clinical culture for a brand-new ACT program. Meaningful Community ImpactThis program is being launched to expand access to intensive, community-based services for adults with serious mental illness who have not been well served by traditional office-based care. Strong Organizational SupportYou will have direct access to executive clinical leadership and support from HR, finance, compliance, IT, and other departments within an established organization. Professional DevelopmentAchieve will provide support for ACT-specific training through the ACT Institute.

The Clinical Supervisor will provide both clinical leadership and direct clinical services as part of the ACT team. This position combines approximately 50% direct clinical work with 50% supervision and program leadership. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes nursing, substance use, vocational, family, peer, and psychiatric professionals. The ACT model is highly community-based, with the majority of participant contacts taking place in the community rather than in an office.

Provide clinical leadership and supervision to a multidisciplinary ACT team Participate in recruiting and developing the new team Provide direct clinical services to ACT participants Facilitate the teams daily morning meeting Provide individual and field-based supervision Maintain fidelity to the NYS OMH ACT model Develop relationships with hospitals, SPOA, AOT, and other community partners Support the teams gradual development toward full census Coordinate care for individuals receiving court-ordered AOT services Monitor documentation, clinical quality, CAIRS reporting, and chart compliance Use program data and PSYCKES to identify opportunities for quality improvement Participate in the teams rotating on-call schedule Help establish a strong, collaborative, recovery-oriented team culture

We are looking for an experienced behavioral health clinician and leader who is comfortable taking initiative, building relationships, and helping develop a new program.

Masters degree with current NYS licensure such as LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, etc.; OR NYS-licensed RN; OR licensed physician At least 5 years of experience working with adults with serious mental illness At least 2 years of supervisory experience Experience working on a multidisciplinary or community-based behavioral health team Experience with evidence-based approaches such as motivational interviewing, harm reduction, or trauma-informed care Valid drivers license

Prior ACT experience is strongly preferred, particularly experience as an ACT Team Leader, Assistant Team Leader, or senior ACT clinician. However, we are also interested in experienced clinical supervisors and senior clinicians who have worked in AOT, mobile crisis, intensive care management, community-based mental health, or other intensive behavioral health programs and are ready to take on a new leadership opportunity.
