About the Role
The Residential Clinical Supervisor plays a vital leadership role in CODA's residential programs, offering a combination of direct clinical services, team supervision, and operational leadership. In partnership with the Program Manager, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day clinical oversight of staff and service delivery.
You will carry a small caseload, provide clinical consultation and risk assessment, and mentor new counselors. Your work will ensure quality of care, regulatory compliance, and alignment with CODA's mission and best practices. You will also support scheduling, cross-department collaboration, and integration of services with external providers to ensure positive patient outcomes.
What You Will Bring
- Leadership & Supervision: Experience supervising clinical teams, providing mentorship, conducting onboarding/training, and supporting team engagement.
- Clinical Expertise: Strong knowledge of addiction and co-occurring disorders, ASAM criteria, motivational interviewing, and family support approaches.
- Collaborative Mindset: Skilled at working across programs and departments to improve systems, problem-solve operations, and enhance care coordination.
- Ethical & Compassionate Care: Demonstrated commitment to professional boundaries, ethical conduct, and delivering services with compassion and respect.
- Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including clinical documentation, staff direction, and interagency collaboration.
- Adaptability: Able to balance direct care with administrative responsibilities, adjust to changing priorities, and respond to clinical crises or coverage needs.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and education
- CADC II (or ability to obtain within six months)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in substance use disorder behavioral health setting
- At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience in behavioral health
Required Certifications and Licenses
- CADC II or higher (or eligibility within 6 months)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Valid Oregon or Washington driver's license
