About the Role

As the Clinical Supervisor for Internal Medicine, ACC, and Clinical Float teams, you will provide operational and clinical leadership for multiple ambulatory care teams across Quincy Medical Group. Working closely with providers, managers, and clinical staff, you will oversee staffing, workflow, and daily operations while supporting exceptional patient care and efficient clinic performance.

This role is ideal for an experienced nurse who enjoys leading diverse teams, mentoring staff, and improving clinical operations. You will play a key role in supporting Internal Medicine, the Ambulatory Care Center (ACC), and Clinical Float staff while promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time position, Monday-Friday, daytime hours.
• Schedule flexibility may be required based on operational needs.
• Clinical leadership role supporting Internal Medicine, ACC, and Clinical Float teams.
• Fast-paced ambulatory care environment requiring adaptability, collaboration, and strong organizational skills.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of clinical staff, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality patient care.
• Partner with providers and departmental leadership to support staffing, workflow optimization, and operational goals.
• Coordinate daily staffing assignments, float coverage, and scheduling adjustments to maintain clinic operations.
• Conduct daily huddles and facilitate communication regarding departmental updates, priorities, and workflow changes.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance evaluations for clinical staff.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor while promoting professional development and team engagement.
• Support implementation of organizational policies, clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and service excellence initiatives.
• Monitor patient flow, staffing efficiency, and patient experience while identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Review employee timecards, monitor attendance, and assist with budget and supply management.
• Support adoption of electronic health record workflows and operational best practices.
• Collaborate with managers, providers, and organizational leadership on projects, quality initiatives, and operational improvements.
• Assist with direct patient care as needed to support clinic operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Minimum of five years of nursing experience required.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Experience with ambulatory care, internal medicine, or multispecialty practice preferred.
• Experience using electronic medical records preferred.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $60,195.20 - $90,292.80 annually, with actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through bonuses and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
