As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor who holds both an active New York LCSW and CASAC to provide clinical leadership, ensure quality, maintain compliance, and support the development of a multidisciplinary team of behavioral health professionals.
Because this position provides supervision to clinicians pursuing multiple licensure and credentialing pathways, candidates must possess the credentials necessary to supervise social work, counseling, and substance use disorder professionals. An active New York LCSW and CASAC are required.

As Mindify scales its services and clinical team, this role is expected to increase in scope and responsibility, offering meaningful opportunities for advancement into senior clinical leadership positions.
Position Overview
The Clinical Supervisor serves as a key clinical leader within the organization, providing supervision, mentorship, quality oversight, and operational support to a multidisciplinary team that may include:
- LMSWs
- LCSWs
- LMHCs
- MHC-LPs
- LMFTs
- CASAC Trainees
- CASACs
- Psychotherapists
- Behavioral Health Interns
- Other Behavioral Health Professionals
The ideal candidate is both a skilled clinician and an effective leader, capable of driving clinical excellence, maintaining regulatory compliance, improving clinician performance, and helping build the systems, processes, and infrastructure necessary to support organizational growth.
This is a primarily remote position. Most responsibilities may be performed virtually; however, periodic onsite attendance within New York State will be required for training, supervision activities, quality initiatives, staff meetings, onboarding, program development, and other operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Supervision and Team Leadership
- Conduct individual and group supervision in accordance with New York licensing, credentialing, and professional practice requirements.
- Provide clinical consultation, mentorship, and leadership to licensed and pre-licensed clinicians.
- Support clinicians in developing clinical skills, treatment planning, diagnostic formulation, and evidence-based interventions.
- Facilitate regular supervision sessions and maintain required supervision documentation.
- Hold clinical department meetings and case consultation meetings.
- Coach clinicians on documentation standards, productivity expectations, ethical decision-making, patient engagement, and professional development.
- Provide support regarding crisis intervention, risk assessment, mandated reporting, and clinical decision-making.
- Assist in the development of clinical policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and supportive clinical culture.
Documentation Compliance
- Monitor clinician documentation for quality, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Ensure treatment plans, assessments, progress notes, discharge summaries, and related records meet organizational, payer, and regulatory standards.
- Work toward organizational goals related to documentation completion and compliance.
- Address documentation deficiencies through coaching, training, and corrective action when appropriate.
- Track and follow up on overdue documentation.
- Identify trends requiring workflow improvements or additional staff education.
Therapist Productivity and Caseload Management
- Monitor clinician caseloads, productivity, and schedule utilization.
- Support clinicians in maintaining healthy and sustainable caseloads.
- Collaborate with administrative and operations teams to improve appointment availability and patient access.
- Assist in managing clinician schedules, coverage plans, and workflow efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to improve patient retention, engagement, and continuity of care.
Quality Assurance and Clinical Oversight
- Conduct routine chart audits and document findings.
- Review assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and clinical documentation for quality and compliance.
- Monitor adherence to evidence-based practices and clinical standards.
- Develop corrective action plans and monitor improvement initiatives as needed.
- Identify quality trends and recommend process improvements.
- Assist with preparation for audits, accreditation reviews, and compliance activities.
Compliance and Credentialing
- Monitor professional licenses, certifications, supervision eligibility, and renewal requirements.
- Ensure clinicians complete required trainings and competency assessments.
- Promote compliance with HIPAA, payer requirements, professional ethics, company policies, and New York regulations.
- Support credentialing, recredentialing, and compliance monitoring processes.
- Maintain readiness for internal reviews, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
Recruitment, Onboarding, and Staff Development
- Participate in candidate screening, interviewing, and hiring processes.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation of new clinicians.
- Support clinician training and professional development initiatives.
- Evaluate clinician competencies and identify training needs.
- Mentor developing clinicians and support career growth opportunities.
- Help build and retain a high-performing clinical team.
Scheduling and Coverage
- Coordinate clinician coverage and staffing needs.
- Assist with schedule modifications, PTO requests, and coverage planning.
- Minimize disruptions to patient care caused by staffing gaps.
- Collaborate with leadership to address service demand and workforce planning needs.
Operational Collaboration
- Work closely with executive leadership, psychiatric providers, therapists, and administrative staff.
- Provide recommendations regarding clinical operations, service delivery models, and program development.
- Contribute to organizational growth initiatives and new service-line development.
- Support expansion efforts across New York as the organization continues to grow.
Required Qualifications
Required Licensure and Credentials
Candidates must possess all of the following:
- Active, unrestricted New York Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in good standing.
- Active New York Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) credential in good standing.
- Eligibility to supervise behavioral health professionals under applicable New York regulations.
- Clinical supervision training and qualifications consistent with New York requirements.
Education
- Master's Degree or higher in Social Work from an accredited institution.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of three years of post-LCSW clinical experience.
- Previous clinical supervision experience.
- Behavioral health leadership or management experience preferred.
- Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of clinical documentation, treatment planning, risk management, utilization management, compliance, and quality assurance.
- Experience conducting chart audits and providing performance coaching.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working within a growing and evolving organization.
- Ability to attend periodic onsite meetings and organizational activities throughout New York State.
Why LCSW and CASAC Are Required
This position provides supervision and clinical oversight to professionals working toward a variety of behavioral health licenses and credentials. To support Mindify's multidisciplinary clinical model, the Clinical Supervisor must possess the qualifications necessary to supervise both mental health and substance use disorder professionals and provide oversight across a broad range of provider types.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional advanced behavioral health licenses or certifications.
- Experience supervising social workers, counselors, and substance use treatment professionals.
- Experience in outpatient mental health, telehealth, psychiatry, community-based care, substance use treatment, or integrated behavioral health settings.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Experience with payer audits, utilization management, credentialing, and compliance programs.
- Experience recruiting, onboarding, and managing clinician performance.
- Bilingual or multilingual proficiency strongly preferred.
- Experience serving culturally diverse populations.
Schedule and Work Arrangement
- Position will initially begin on a part-time basis, with the expectation of transitioning into a full-time leadership role based on organizational growth and performance.
- Primarily remote position.
- Periodic onsite attendance throughout New York State required for meetings, training, supervision, quality initiatives, onboarding, and operational activities.
- Flexible scheduling available.
- Supervisor must remain available during agreed-upon operating hours and for urgent clinical consultation when necessary.

Compensation
Part-Time (Initial Phase)
$45-60 per hour
Full-Time (Upon Transition)
$80,000-100,000
Final compensation will be based on clinical experience, supervisory experience, leadership background, substance use treatment expertise, bilingual capabilities, additional certifications, and the number and type of clinicians supervised.
As Mindify continues to grow, this position is expected to evolve from a part-time supervisory role into a full-time leadership opportunity with increased responsibility, organizational influence, and advancement potential.
