The Clinical Supervisor ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, and cost-effective patient care through effective staffing, resource management, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. This role supports patient flow, oversees daily operations, and promotes a positive, accountable work environment aligned with Mercy's mission and service standards.

Position Details:

SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE

10,000 Sign On Bonus for full-time RNs with at least 1 year of experience

NO CONTRACT

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees patient care delivery using the nursing process and ensures coordination of care based on patient needs and staff competency

  • Ensures appropriate staffing levels and collaborates on patient flow and bed management

  • Serves as a leader, mentor, and role model; provides feedback, coaching, and accountability

  • Promotes a positive work environment and staff engagement through shared governance and recognition

  • Communicates effectively with leadership, staff, and providers; escalates issues as needed

  • Supports regulatory compliance, policy adherence, and accreditation standards

  • Participates in performance improvement, quality initiatives, and root cause analyses

  • Addresses patient concerns and supports service recovery to improve satisfaction

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:

  • Current RN license

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of hospital nursing experience

Certifications:

  • AHA Healthcare Provider (required or within probation)

  • TNCC, ACLS, and ENPC or PALS (as applicable)

Skills

  • Strong clinical and leadership skills

  • Effective communication and problem-solving

  • Ability to support staff development and ensure quality patient care
