Description

1. Assists pathologists in the performance of autopsies including receipt, identification, release and move of the deceased.2. Maintains morgue, autopsy room, gross-in area and equipment.3. Logs, codes and assigns accession numbers on all cases and specimens received for identification and recording purposes. Assesses order acceptability.4. Receives, prepares, processes, reagents, autopsy/surgical tissues, and stores supplies, stock rotation and monitoring, disposes of supplies.5. Maintains equipment quality control including calibrations and back-up instrumentation.6. Provides documentation, inventory, orders, and files.7. Prepares and/or assists in the research development, policies and procedures development and process improvement.8. Performs other duties as assigned.
