Dialysis Technician

- 4:00 AM 2:30 PM
- 9:00 AM 7:30 PM
- Monday Saturday schedule
- Required to work 3 Saturdays within a 6-week period
- Hours: 40/week
Job Summary
Under the supervision of nursing staff, provides direct care and monitoring for hemodialysis patients. Assists with dialysis treatments, patient monitoring, documentation, and emergency response while working as part of the interdisciplinary dialysis team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and care for hemodialysis patients
- Perform cannulation, machine setup, and equipment disinfection
- Administer dialysis-related treatments as permitted
- Document patient care and treatment observations
- Perform blood draws and specimen collection
- Follow infection control and patient safety standards
- Respond to emergencies and support patient education
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current CCHT (Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician) certification
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 3 years of dialysis experience
- Must be able to independently conduct dialysis treatments and flip pods
- Ability to pass medication calculation and dialysis competency exams during orientation
Preferred
- Associate Degree in Science
- Experience with Fresenius or similar dialysis equipment
