Abound Health is seeking a Trainer (Bilingual Spanish) to join our Training team in a hybrid capacity. In this role, you will report to the Director of Training & Development and play a vital role in preparing, supporting, and empowering our workforce to provide high-quality services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This position blends instructional delivery, curriculum preparation, and employee support. You’ll lead required trainings, mentor new team members, and ensure staff are equipped to meet compliance, safety, and quality expectations. You will be expected to provide training in person at 3-4 of our office locations within New Jersey.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver employee training including New Hire Orientation, AIM I, II & III, Adult CPR & First Aid, and Medical Administration
- Prepare and maintain training materials such as presentations, videos, handouts, and module summaries
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate training sessions (virtual and in-person)
- Track and maintain accurate attendance records, exams, certifications, and training documentation
- Support and mentor new employees to promote confidence, competence, and retention
- Adapt training methods and materials to meet diverse learning styles and participant needs
- Monitor and report on employee training performance and progress
- Ensure training practices align with IDD regulations, Medicaid requirements, and organizational standards
Qualifications
- Experience delivering adult education or workforce training, preferably in healthcare, IDD, or human services
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional techniques
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to balance structure and flexibility in a fast-paced, growing environment
- Comfort using learning management systems (LMS) and Microsoft Office tools
Education
- High School Diploma required
Compensation & Benefits
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is $55,000 – $60,000 annually.
Base pay is determined by factors such as location, experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and wellness benefits beginning on your 60th day of employment. Our 401(k) plan is available after 12 months of employment.
