Job Title: Clinician - Child Guidance Program (New Haven, CT - Fair Haven)

Location: New Haven, CT (Fair Haven neighborhood)

Position Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Clinical Director / Program Manager
Salary Range: Competitive; commensurate with experience
Language Requirement: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic licensed clinician (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist) to help build and grow a new Child Guidance Program in the Fair Haven neighborhood of New Haven, CT. This role offers the unique opportunity to be part of a mission-driven initiative, expanding access to high-quality, trauma-informed behavioral health services for children and families in the community. The ideal candidate will be bilingual and possess a strong connection to or knowledge of the Fair Haven area.

While the clinic is in its early development, this role may also involve providing services to adults until the child and family caseload is fully established.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents, and (as needed) adults using evidence-based practices (EBPs).
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of clinical programming specific to the needs of the Fair Haven community.
  • Serve as a clinical liaison with schools, primary care providers, child welfare, and other community-based services.
  • Assist in outreach and engagement efforts to build clinic presence and trust within the local community.
  • Maintain clinical documentation in compliance with agency, state, and funding requirements.
  • Participate in regular supervision and case reviews.
  • Collaborate with peers and leadership to shape the clinical and cultural direction of the new site.
  • Support the integration of trauma-informed and culturally responsive care across all levels of service.
Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Current Connecticut licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist) or license-eligible.
  • Experience working with children, youth, and families, preferably in a community-based setting.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatments, such as TF-CBT, DBT, CPP, or PCIT.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a startup or growth-focused environment.
  • Knowledge of the Fair Haven community and its cultural and social dynamics is a significant asset.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in launching or expanding clinical programs.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally responsive care practices.
  • Experience providing clinical services in home, school, or community-based settings.
