Position Overview

The Clinician I – Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) is part of a 24/7 crisis response team serving individuals of all ages experiencing mental health and/or substance use crises. This position provides crisis triage, risk assessment, symptom management, case management, safety planning, and community linkage services designed to help individuals remain safely in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to crisis calls and behavioral health emergencies throughout Tulare County.
  • Provide onsite crisis intervention, assessment, de-escalation, and stabilization services.
  • Conduct mental health assessments and make treatment recommendations.
  • Evaluate need for 5150/5585 interventions and develop safety plans.
  • Provide case management, aftercare services, and community resource linkage.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, first responders, healthcare providers, and community partners.
  • Provide behavioral health consultation and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Complete clinical documentation within required timeframes.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and crisis response activities.
  • Support community education and crisis intervention training efforts.

What You'll Bring

  • Master's Degree in Social Sciences or related field.
  • Current ASW, AMFT, or APCC registration in good standing.
  • NPI number or ability to obtain one before hire.
  • One year of crisis management and/or mental health services experience.
  • Valid California Driver's License (Class C).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Substance abuse clinical experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
