If this sounds like a good fit to you, we are seeking applicants for a Court Services Clinician on our Developmental Disabilities Crisis Prevention and Court Services (CPCS) team. This position has the flexibility of being stationed out of our Downtown Boise or Nampa IDHW office, with coverage of Regions III (Caldwell/Nampa), IV (Boise) and V (Twin Falls). The Crisis Prevention and Court Services (CPCS) team provides support and court-ordered services for at risk clients with developmental or intellectual disability. The team also coordinates with the state operated residential facility, Southwest Idaho Treatment Center (SWITC) for admissions and discharges to and from the facility. CPCS hubs also provide consultation and coordination with the State Hospitals (SHW, SHN, SHS) located in the regions for individuals with ID/IDD and mental health condition.

This position may be eligible for limited telework after successful completion of probation and necessary training. Approval to telecommute is not guaranteed and subject to termination at any time.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

• Implement and monitor court-ordered evaluations and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in accordance with applicable Idaho Codes, including IC 66-404, IC 66-406, IC 18-211, IC 18-212, and IC 20-519abc.
• Prepare and submit required reports to the court, monitor court proceedings, and participate in court-related activities for assigned cases.
• Participate as a member of evaluation committees addressing competency to stand trial, civil commitment, guardianship, and other court-ordered services.
• Provide case management for civil commitments and competency restorations, including in-home assessments and ongoing oversight to ensure client needs are met.
• Coordinate services with community partners, individuals, and families to identify, implement, and maintain appropriate supports and resources.
• Provide prevention and behavioral support services, including short-term case management, staff training, technical assistance, behavior support planning, direct behavioral interventions, and therapeutic groups.
• Provide short-term community crisis intervention services for children and adults, including risk assessments, behavioral and mental health evaluations, crisis planning, face-to-face interventions, and follow-up monitoring.
• Maintain knowledge of regional and statewide mental health and developmental disability services, regulations, and resources, and provide education and presentations to community partners, families, providers, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in department and community activities, including staff meetings, training, workgroups, projects, on-call rotation, and training of new staff and students/interns as assigned.
• Complete required casework and job-related documentation and provide coverage and backup support to coworkers consistent with program needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

You must possess all the specialty minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports your meeting the minimum and specialty qualifications for this position. • A Master's degree (or higher) in a direct clinical practice Human Services field is required for this position. (Master's degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychosocial rehabilitation counseling, psychiatric nursing, or very closely related field of study) in accordance with Idaho Codes: 54-3206, 54-3402, 54-3405, and 54-3214.

SPECIALTY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Requires licensure in a professional specialty in one of the following areas: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in accordance with Idaho Code 54-3206, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in accordance with Idaho Code 54-3405, Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in accordance with Idaho Code 54-3405. Below is preferred experience. It is not required for the position but applicants with this experience may receive consideration over other applicants.

• A valid driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and meet eligibility requirements to drive a state vehicle.
