Job Title:  Claims Supervisor                                                   Reports to: Claims Director
Department: Claims                                                               Schedule: M-F 8:00AM - 5:00PM EST
 
Job Description Summary
 
Cars Protection Plus is seeking a seasoned Claims Supervisor to oversee our team of adjusters responsible for the adjudication of VSC (Vehicle Service Contracts) claims. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of automotive service contracts, claims processing, and a proven track record in leading a successful claims team. This role demands a dynamic leader who can maintain the highest level of customer service while ensuring efficient and accurate claims resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead Claims Adjusters:
    • Manage and support a team of claims adjusters in the adjudication of vehicle service contracts.
    • Provide guidance, training, and support to claims adjusters.
    • Ensure adjusters are up-to-date with the latest industry standards and practices.
    • Deliver training and development opportunities for claims staff to foster expertise in vehicle service contracts.
  2. Claims Adjudication:
    • Develop and implement claims handling procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
    • Conduct regular audits of claims to ensure accuracy and consistency in the claims handling process.
    • Make decisions on claim approvals and denials based on contract terms.
    • Handle escalated claims and negotiate settlements as needed.
  3. Customer Service Excellence:
    • Maintain a high level of customer service throughout the claims process.
    • Address and resolve any customer complaints or concerns regarding claims.
    • Collaborate with other departments to streamline the claims process and enhance the customer experience.
  4. Process Improvement:
    • Continually assess and improve claims processing procedures.
    • Analyze trends in claims data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic changes.
    • Implement strategies to increase efficiency and accuracy in claims handling.
  5. Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations pertaining to vehicle service contracts.
    • Prepare and present reports on claims trends, department performance, and other relevant metrics.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulatory changes, and advancements in automotive technology.
 
 
Qualifications:

2-years of experience in claims leadership.

Strong VSC (Vehicle Service Contracts) knowledge preferred, but not required.

Strong leadership and team supervisory skills.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Knowledgeable on claims metrics.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and claims management software.

Knowledge of automotive mechanics.
