Job Title: Structured Credit & Data Operations
Location: New York, NY (hybrid)
Salary: $90k-$130k + bonus
Summary:
This is an opportunity to join a growing structured credit investment platform and play a key role in supporting and enhancing the operational, data, and technology infrastructure that underpins a complex credit portfolio. Partnering closely with Investment, Finance, and Technology teams, you will oversee trade settlement, cash reconciliation, portfolio data management, and lifecycle events while driving process improvements, workflow automation, and operational scalability. The ideal candidate brings strong investment operations expertise, a deep understanding of credit products and post-trade processes, and a track record of improving controls, data integrity, and efficiency within a dynamic investment management environment while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external service providers to resolve operational risk and support business growth.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Own daily trade settlement, cash reconciliation, portfolio data management, and related operational workflows, proactively identifying, investigating, and resolving operational risks and exceptions.
- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives in partnership with Investment, Finance, and Technology teams to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, improve data quality, and optimize end-to-end operational workflows.
- Evaluate existing processes and implement scalable solutions that improve governance, reduce operational risk, enhance data integrity, and support business growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with custodians, trustees, settlement agents, fund administrators, data providers, banks, and other external service providers to facilitate issue resolution and operational excellence.
- Manage, validate, and standardize portfolio, collateral, and deal-level data, performing quality control reviews, identifying anomalies, and ensuring consistency across reporting and operational processes.
- Prepare and communicate clear analyses and reporting for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting operational risks, data considerations, and execution-related matters.
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience within Investment Operations, Middle Office, Fund Operations, Technology Operations, or a related financial services environment.
- Exposure to securitized products including CLOs, ABS, MBS, CMBS, and other structured finance instruments is highly preferred.
- Advanced technical skills in Excel, SQL, Python, automation tools, and database technologies, with experience leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency, workflow design, and data management.
- Experience working with large datasets, data quality management, and process automation.
