Job Title: Closures Engineering Technician
Job Description
The Closures Engineering Technician supports the development, testing, and validation of mechanical and electrical closure systems by executing tests, assembling and wiring fixtures, and assisting engineers with instrumentation and data acquisition. This role combines hands-on lab work, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical fabrication to ensure closure systems meet performance and reliability requirements.

Work Environment
This role operates primarily in a lab and test environment focused on closure systems for vehicles. The technician uses standard lab and test equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, data acquisition systems, force gauges, torque wrenches, bandsaws, and drill presses, as well as hand tools for assembly, wiring, and tear-down activities. Work involves both electrical and mechanical tasks, including handling low-voltage and high-voltage components and working with vehicle-level systems and CAN communication. The environment emphasizes organization, safe use of tools and equipment, and close collaboration with engineers and other technicians. Standard office software such as Outlook, Excel, and Word supports documentation, reporting, and communication.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr.
