Our client seeks a Cloud Database Architect to design and implement scalable, cloud-based data architectures for financial recordkeeping applications. The role will lead standards, patterns, and modernization across distributed, transactional data platforms and integrations. You will partner with engineering and architecture leaders to drive cloud adoption, mainframe migration, and secure data solutions that enable high-volume, low-latency processing. Your work will improve agility and support business growth across mission-critical brokerage services.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $77.00 to $85.00/hr. w2; 12+ month contract
• Experience with high-scale data systems (50TB+, millions TPS, millisecond latency)
• Background in financial services or large-scale tech environments (e.g., Amazon, Meta)
• Mainframe expertise and migration to cloud data platforms (installations/deployments)
• Strong transactional database experience (Oracle required + one: In-Memory, NoSQL, or distributed SQL like CockroachDB)
• Data integration experience (Kafka, data movement across platforms like AWS S3 Oracle)
• OLTP data modeling (logical & physical)
