Our client needs a Cloud DevOps Engineer who will support the Frontier AI remediation initiative by helping move approximately 37–38 applications through the organization's GitHub, Harness, containerization, remediation, and production deployment processes. Despite the title, this role is primarily supporting an on-premises environment. Most applications are deployed to Windows servers, while OpenShift/Kubernetes is used for specific applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with development and DevOps team members to establish and advance CI/CD pipelines.
• Support the migration to GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Build, configure, and troubleshoot deployment pipelines in Harness.
• Support application deployments through the remediation lifecycle.
• Help prepare applications and containers for production deployment.
• Assist with vulnerability remediation identified during the deployment/migration process.
• Support Windows-based deployments using PowerShell.
• Work with IIS and application deployment processes.
• Support containerized applications where applicable.
• Work with OpenShift/Kubernetes environments when required.
• Support OpenShift deployments using Helm charts.
• Help move applications from development/testing through production readiness.

Deployment Workflow

• The current workflow generally consists of:
  • GitHub/GitHub Actions → Artifactory → Harness → Server
• GitHub Actions executes the pipeline.
• Artifactory stores deployment artifacts.
• Harness deploys the artifacts to the target server.
• Artifactory is not considered a major/intensive part of the role.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of strong DevOps experience.
• CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Experience with GitHub and/or GitHub Actions.
• Experience working with deployment automation.
• Ability to troubleshoot existing environments and deployment processes.
• Strong understanding of software delivery and production deployment.

• Harness experience — any amount of hands-on experience is valuable.
