Job Title: Cloud Engineer
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Job Location: Denver, CO
Work Schedule: Hybrid (Tuesday-Thursday in-office / Monday & Friday remote)
Compensation: $55-$70/hr.

Requirements:
· 3+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure experience
· Experience building and administering Azure environments
· Cloud networking, storage, VMs, monitoring, and security experience
· Experience with identity and access management (IAM) and Entra ID
· PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar scripting/automation experience

Preferred:
· Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, or Bicep
· DevOps/cloud automation experience

Job Details

Our client is seeking a hands-on Cloud Engineer to support and modernize their cloud infrastructure. This role will focus on cloud operations, infrastructure administration, identity and access management, monitoring, security, and automation while partnering closely with DevOps, Engineering, IT, and Security teams.

Key Responsibilities:

· Build, administer, monitor, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure
· Manage virtual machines, storage, networking, app services, backups, and related cloud services
· Administer Microsoft Entra ID, including users, groups, roles, SSO, RBAC, and access controls
· Monitor cloud performance, availability, security, and infrastructure health
· Troubleshoot incidents and support root-cause analysis and resolution
· Automate routine cloud administration using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar tools
· Maintain infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and configuration standards
· Partner with DevOps and Engineering on deployments, infrastructure changes, and cloud improvements
