Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cloud Engineer in Houston, TX. Summary: Our client is seeking talented and motivated Cloud Engineers to join our growing cloud engineering team with cutting-edge cloud technologies on AWS and Azure platforms. Key Tasks:
  • Infrastructure Automation: Design, implement, and maintain automated infrastructure solutions using modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
  • Technology Integration: Investigate and integrate identity management, storage solutions, container platforms, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies
  • Cloud Platform Management: Work with AWS and Azure services to build, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure
  • Collaboration: Partner with team leads and fellow engineers to deliver reliable and efficient cloud solutions
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and best practices while building expertise in Terraform, Ansible, and cloud-native services

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals) are a plus
  • 0-2 years of experience in cloud engineering, IT infrastructure, or related technical roles
  • Demonstrated interest in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) through coursework, personal projects, or professional experience
  • Eagerness to learn Terraform, Ansible, and various AWS and Azure services
  • Understanding of basic networking, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and system administration concepts
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate across teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with any of the following: AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC), Azure services (Virtual Machines, Storage, Active Directory/Entra)
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Exposure to programming and scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
