Cloud Engineer

The Role

You will have the opportunity to deepen your technical expertise while collaborating with engineers in a lively, fast-paced, and dynamic environment. You will work closely with technical leaders, product owners, and architects to build highly reliable services using modern engineering practices. As a senior member of the team, you will help mentor software engineers, sharing your knowledge of industry standards for cloud-native software development.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field.

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.

• 4+ years of experience building RESTful microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Native development, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and CI/CD (Jenkins Core).

• Experience collaborating on engineering teams and willingness to mentor junior engineers.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in crafting microservices using software design patterns, the Twelve-Factor App methodology, and SDLC principles.

• Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.

• Expertise with asynchronous workers and resilient messaging platforms including Kafka, SNS, and SQS.

• Deep understanding of AWS services such as Lambda, AWS Batch, DynamoDB, EC2, SQS, SNS, Aurora PostgreSQL, and associated scaling mechanisms.

• Proficiency in relational databases and SQL.
