Cloud Java developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Cloud Java Developer with strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud Spanner.

The candidate should have experience building/migrating applications to cloud-based distributed databases and optimizing application and database performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.
• Analyze existing applications and database interactions.
• Integrate and migrate data access layers to Google Cloud Spanner.
• Work with Spanner PostgreSQL Dialect and distributed SQL databases.
• Modify SQL queries and transaction logic for Spanner.
• Optimize database queries, read/write operations, and transactional workloads.
• Design data models, indexes, and primary keys to avoid Spanner hotspotting.
• Troubleshoot application and database performance issues.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Work with architects, Google Cloud SMEs, and client stakeholders.
• Document technical decisions and migration considerations.
