Cloud Migration Architect / Pod Lead

CTG is seeking to fill a Cloud Migration Architect / Pod Lead position for our client. Location: Dallas, TX Duration: 12 months Duties: Lead cloud migration architecture and delivery for enterprise applications across AWS, Azure, and hybrid cloud environments, with a primary focus on AWS Outposts. Define migration strategies, target architectures, migration pathways, tools, networking requirements, and technical execution plans. Lead migration pods through rehost, replatform, refactor, rearchitect, and containerization initiatives. Design hybrid cloud solutions spanning on-premises, off-premises, and dedicated cloud environments. Lead application and code modernization, including Java 8 to Java 17/21 upgrades, Spring Boot modernization, dependency remediation, CI/CD integration, and cloud readiness. Provide technical leadership for infrastructure modernization, automation, networking, security, and application/database/integration migrations. Conduct migration methodology workshops and tailor approaches to client technical and industry requirements. Partner with application, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to manage architecture standards, dependencies, risks, and migration readiness. Support project planning through technical WBS development, estimation, risk assessment, dependency analysis, and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) definition. Skills: AWS, AWS Outposts, hybrid and multi-cloud architecture Cloud migration strategy and architecture Infrastructure and application modernization Rehost, replatform, refactor, rearchitect, and containerization AWS services, platform mapping, and solution design Cloud networking and migration connectivity Java 8/17/21, Spring Boot, dependency management, and code modernization CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices Migration tools and methodologies Strong technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder collaboration Experience: Extensive experience leading enterprise cloud migration programs and technical migration teams. Hands-on experience designing and delivering AWS-based hybrid cloud solutions. Proven experience with application modernization and cloud readiness initiatives. Experience leading migration strategy, architecture, estimation, risk management, dependencies, and technical delivery. Experience working across application, infrastructure, database, networking, security, and operations teams. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. AWS or other relevant cloud certifications preferred. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
