ASRC Federal Agile Decision Sciences LLC is seeking a Cloud Software Developer with full-stack experience to support a mission-critical application for NASA's Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) program. The ideal candidate combines strong cloud development skills with an appreciation for engineering-driven environments, including familiarity with mechanical, aerospace, or systems engineering concepts.Location: Washington DC. Hybrid (2 days in office and 3 days remote)Responsibilities
Develop and maintain AWS-native applications using services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and EC2Develop modern, responsive front-end interfaces using frameworks such as ReactImplement infrastructure as code using Terraform within a DevSecOps pipelineSupport CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipelineApply systems engineering principles across the software development lifecycle, including alignment with reviews such as PDR and CDREnsure solutions meet requirements for security, scalability, and performanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile development environmentDocument technical designs and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering backgrounds strongly encouraged) or equivalent experience3+ years of experience in cloud-native development with AWSFront-end development experience using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React)Experience with Python is requiredExperience with Terraform or similar infrastructure automation toolsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development practicesU.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Background in aerospace, mechanical, or systems engineering supporting complex or mission-driven systemsFamiliarity with NASA systems engineering processes and lifecycle reviews (e.g., PDR, CDR)Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS)Knowledge of authentication/authorization frameworks (e.g., OAuth2, Cognito)Experience developing in Rust and/or Go is a plusExperience with automated testing and performance optimizationStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
