Cloud Solutions Architect

SUMMARY
As a member of the Core Infrastructure Services team, the Cloud Solutions Architect - Senior will work with various functional areas on gathering requirements, evaluating, designing, implementing, and supporting Cloud Services, Operations, Engineering, and Delivery. This role will be required to work globally with diverse resources internally and externally through third party vendors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS.
• Understand, implement, and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation
• Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS
• Designing and deploying dynamically scalable, highly available, fault tolerant, and reliable applications on AWS
• Selecting appropriate AWS services to design and deploy an application based on given requirements
• Migrating complex, multi-tier applications onto AWS
• Designing and deploying enterprise-wide scalable operations on AWS
• Implementing cost control strategies
• Implement systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on the AWS platform
• Design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes
• Define, document and implement strategy, direction, and architectures for company's cloud environments.
• Research, design, plan, and implement new services and technologies into current operational environment.
• Test and evaluate future looking technologies by participating in beta tests of given technologies.
• Analyze current environment, recommend and provide enhancements to existing network systems and services, define the R.O.I., and implement these improvements using accepted change control methodology and processes.
• Define, document, and follow standards and best practices for network system design, testing, and implementation methodology.
• Configure, deploy, fine-tune, monitor, maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, support, and repair network systems as required.

REQUIREMENTS

Travel	<25%
Education	Degree preferred in a related discipline, such as Computer Information Systems.
Licenses/Certifications	Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Solutions Architect - Professional. https://aws.amazon.com/certification/certified-solutions-architect-professional/
Experience	10-plus years of direct engineering, design, deployment experience, and support for complex multi-site global network 2-plus years of experience hands-on experience designing and deploying cloud architecture on AWS. Expertise with 3rd party Vendor management. Must be able to handle pressure and work with multiple vendors / outsourcers to resolve complex network and technical issues. Expertise with AWS networking, compute and storage technologies. Experience in automation and testing via scripting/programming Understanding of agile and other development processes and methodologies Abilities to evaluate cloud application requirements and make architectural recommendations for implementation, deployment, and provisioning applications on AWS. Capabilities to provide best practices guidance on the architectural design across multiple applications, projects, or the enterprise.
Competencies	MS Systems, Active Directory, Servers, Networks, communications skills, teamwork, and excellent technical acumen required.
Other	Expertise in creating reliable, scalable architectures, with fault tolerance, performance tuning, monitoring systems, statistics / metrics collection, and disaster recovery. Professional background with system management and monitoring tools Experience supporting Problem Management initiatives on Windows and production systems/applications on various networking technologies. Experience with stringent change control processes and ITIL foundations. Strong documentation and communication skills. Must be able to articulate technical details with-in multiple levels of the organization, including non-technical groups. Expertise with Software Define Networks (SDN) especially SD-WANs Expertise with load balancers in an AWS environment Experience with Microsoft Azure
