We are seeking a senior Cloud Solution Architect Level 4 to support the Frontier cybersecurity response initiative. This role requires a combination of enterprise architecture expertise, hands-on engineering experience, and a strong understanding of security within highly regulated environments. The architect will help assess and strengthen existing security architecture, improve vulnerability-management processes, support network segmentation, and advance identity-management capabilities, including automation where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
Cloud and Solution Architecture

• Design, assess, and improve solution architectures in complex, highly regulated environments.
• Apply established architectural patterns and sound engineering principles.
• Partner with engineering teams to translate architecture recommendations into actionable technical improvements.
• Leverage experience with cloud platforms and modern development and deployment tools.

Vulnerability Management

• Support application-level and server-side vulnerability-management initiatives.
• Help address vulnerabilities across environments such as Windows Server and Unix.
• Assess current remediation processes and recommend improvements to help teams meet service-level agreements (SLAs).

Network Segmentation

• Evaluate existing network-segmentation architecture and identify potential gaps.
• Help ensure segmentation controls and architectural designs are sound.
• Partner with technical teams to support improvements and remediation efforts.

Identity Management and Automation

• Support ongoing identity-management initiatives.
• Assess existing identity-management processes and recommend improvements.
• Identify opportunities to automate identity-management workflows and controls.

Process Improvement

• Evaluate existing manual security processes that are struggling to meet SLAs.
• Recommend more efficient workflows, whether through improved manual processes, automation, or a combination of both.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to implement practical, sustainable improvements.

Technical Skills and Platforms

• Cloud platforms: AWS preferred; Microsoft Azure or equivalent experience is acceptable.
• Development and delivery tools: GitHub Copilot, Harness, and related tools or equivalent technologies.
• Cybersecurity experience: Vulnerability management, network segmentation, and identity management are key focus areas.
• Experience with Windows Server, Unix, or comparable server environments is relevant to vulnerability management.

Required Skills

• Cloud: AWS preferred; Azure or equivalent experience accepted.
• Tools: GitHub Copilot, Harness, or equivalent technologies.
• Cybersecurity: Vulnerability management, network segmentation, and identity management.
• Infrastructure: Windows Server, Unix, or comparable server environments.
• Deep experience working in a highly regulated industry, such as banking, healthcare, or a comparable environment. This is a firm requirement.
• Strong solution architecture experience, including architectural patterns, technical design, and implementation approaches.
• Hands-on engineering experience in addition to architecture.
• Deep experience with one or two cloud or technology stacks.
• Ability to assess existing technical environments and recommend practical architecture and security improvements.
• Strong understanding of enterprise technology environments and security-related architecture.
• Experience automating identity-management processes.
• Experience with application and infrastructure vulnerability remediation.
• Experience evaluating and improving security architecture in a banking or similarly regulated environment.
• Ability to balance architectural strategy with practical engineering execution.
  • Experience level: 15+ years is preferred. An ideal candidate may have approximately five years of hands-on engineering, five years in architecture, and additional relevant experience. The exact division between engineering and architecture is flexible.
