Essential Functions

  • Administer Windows Server environments (ADFS, DFS, Active Directory, user/group management, file and directory permissions).
  • Oversee VMware and enterprise storage systems, including configuration, management, and monitoring.
  • Apply security best practices across cloud and on-premises environments, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of procedures, configurations, and resolutions.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution of runbooks.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities independently and collaboratively across geographically dispersed offices.
  • Collaborate with IT teams on network management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Stay current with evolving technologies, particularly those relevant to the firm's environment.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting across cloud and on-premises platforms.
  • Handle service tickets and work closely with engineers throughout IT.
  • Engage with managers, architects, and engineers, balancing independent work with team collaboration.
Qualifications:

Education, Experience and Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in corporate cloud and on-premises network environments, with demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Azure; AWS and GCP experience preferred.
  • Proven experience building cloud solutions on Azure, including infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
  • Strong proficiency in Linux deployments and management; experience with containers, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and orchestration is a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of Azure cloud services (Compute, Storage, Databases, Messaging, Networking, Security), and secure cloud infrastructure design.
  • Advanced administration of Microsoft Entra ID (including hybrid identity with Entra Connect), conditional access, governance, privileged identity management, and Azure DNS.
  • Experience configuring cloud-native applications with least privilege, using Entra ID roles, Azure RBAC, and managed identities.
  • Expertise in disaster recovery planning and implementation using Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, geo-redundant storage, and migration pathways (Azure Migrate, Azure VMware Solution).
  • Ability to design scalable, resilient, and highly available solutions using Azure availability zones, paired regions, and auto-scaling.
  • Awareness of emerging Azure services, Entra ID capabilities, and industry trends; relevant certifications (AZ-305, AZ-104, SC-300) preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills, with effective verbal and written communication.
  • Customer service orientation, project management experience, and ability to work in process-driven, multi-office, and diverse environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with technical and infosec teams, and act as senior escalation for problem resolution.
