Cloud Solutions Engineer IV – SAP ABAP / IS-U

Location: Los Angeles, CA – Hybrid
Duration: 6–8 Month Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM PST
Work Model: First 2 weeks onsite, followed by approximately 1 week onsite per month
Contract Type: 6-month contract assignment potential to extend
Pay Rate: $90-98/hour 

Position Overview

A leading Southern California energy and utilities organization is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Engineer IV with deep expertise in SAP ABAP and SAP IS-U. This consultant will support a high-priority SAP implementation through go-live, hypercare, and system stabilization.

The role will focus on developing and maintaining custom ABAP solutions, supporting SAP IS-U functionality, resolving production defects, and contributing to ongoing technical enhancements in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support SAP IS-U applications during go-live, hypercare, and stabilization.

• Develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain custom SAP ABAP code.

• Build and support RICEFW objects, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.

• Develop and support applications using SAP BTP and UI5.

• Troubleshoot production issues and drive technical defects through resolution.

• Manage and prioritize technical tickets in a fast-paced implementation environment.

• Collaborate with functional, integration, Basis, security, and project teams.

• Support SAP integrations with external systems.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, and production support.

• Contribute to ongoing system enhancements, performance improvements, and technical stabilization.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.

• 5+ years of hands-on SAP IS-U development experience.

• Strong knowledge of RICEFW development concepts.

• Hands-on experience with SAP BTP functionality.

• Strong SAP BTP/UI5 development capabilities.

• Experience supporting complex SAP production environments and resolving technical defects.

• Ability to independently manage multiple high-priority technical issues.

• Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Major Market Billing experience.

• SAP Print Workbench experience.

• SAP Integration Suite experience.

• SAP C4C V2 experience.

• Utility industry experience, particularly supporting Customer Information Systems (CIS).

• Experience supporting SAP implementations through go-live, hypercare, and stabilization.
