Wyetech is seeking an experienced Cloud System Administrator – Level 2 to support the Cybersecurity Collaboration Center (CCC) Partnerships Team in delivering secure, reliable cloud infrastructure and technical services to Defense Industrial Base (DIB) companies.

The selected candidate will assist with the technical vetting, onboarding, and integration of DIB companies into the services offered by the CCC Partnerships Team. This position requires hands-on experience with Linux administration, containerization, infrastructure automation, and cloud technologies to support secure system configurations, application deployments, and operational sustainment.

The ideal candidate possesses strong technical experience with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, and Traefik, along with the ability to troubleshoot cloud environments, perform system administration tasks, and support enterprise infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities

Linux System Administration & Technical Support

• Perform Linux system administration tasks supporting cloud infrastructure and DIB onboarding operations.

• Use Secure Shell (SSH) to remotely connect to Linux systems for administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

• Install, configure, update, and maintain Linux software using RPM, YUM, and other applicable package management tools.

• Monitor Linux system health, performance, availability, and operational status.

• Gather system information, review logs, and troubleshoot issues affecting Linux environments.

• Support software installation, configuration, patching, and system updates.

• Identify and resolve operating system, application, and infrastructure issues.

• Maintain system documentation, configuration records, and technical procedures.

• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to internal teams and onboarding partners.

Containerization & Kubernetes Administration

• Support the deployment, configuration, and management of containerized applications using Docker.

• Administer and troubleshoot Kubernetes environments supporting enterprise applications and services.

• Develop, configure, and maintain Helm charts for Kubernetes application deployments.

• Support container orchestration, application scaling, service availability, and deployment workflows.

• Configure and troubleshoot Traefik for application routing, reverse proxy, and ingress management.

• Monitor containerized workloads and resolve issues affecting application performance or availability.

• Assist with integrating containerized applications into cloud infrastructure.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain reliable and secure container environments.

Infrastructure Automation & Configuration Management

• Develop, maintain, and execute infrastructure automation solutions using Ansible.

• Support infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform.

• Utilize AWS CloudFormation to define, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure resources.

• Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies to improve consistency, repeatability, and operational efficiency.

• Automate system configuration, software installation, patching, and infrastructure management processes.

• Troubleshoot infrastructure deployment and configuration issues.

• Maintain configuration management documentation and infrastructure deployment procedures.

• Identify opportunities to streamline manual administration processes through automation.

Cloud Infrastructure Administration & Operations

• Support implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cloud systems and infrastructure.

• Manage day-to-day cloud operations, system monitoring, and problem resolution.

• Configure and optimize cloud infrastructure to support application and operational requirements.

• Support cloud server security configurations, patch management, and troubleshooting.

• Monitor cloud systems to identify performance degradation, configuration issues, and service interruptions.

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support, including problem identification, diagnosis, escalation, and resolution.

• Support secure cloud environments aligned with applicable enterprise security requirements.

• Develop and maintain operational documentation, system configurations, and technical procedures.

• Assist with the integration and sustainment of cloud services supporting DIB partners.

DIB Partner Onboarding & Integration

• Support the CCC Partnerships Team in vetting and onboarding Defense Industrial Base companies.

• Assist with the technical configuration and integration of services offered to DIB partners.

• Troubleshoot infrastructure, connectivity, and application deployment issues affecting onboarding activities.

• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure secure and reliable service integration.

• Support the configuration and validation of systems required for partner connectivity and service delivery.

• Monitor infrastructure and applications supporting partner onboarding.

• Maintain documentation of technical configurations, onboarding activities, and troubleshooting procedures.

• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support successful service implementation.

Distributed Systems & Network Infrastructure

• Support distributed storage networks, peer-to-peer routing, and application messaging frameworks.

• Provision, configure, and sustain network infrastructure supporting secure cloud operations.

• Support network environments utilizing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Internet Protocol Security (IPsec), and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).

• Analyze network traffic, data flows, query syntax, and operational requirements.

• Support Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) environments and associated distributed computing infrastructure.

• Assist with administration and monitoring of large Hadoop clusters.

• Support open-source NoSQL technologies used in distributed computing environments, including HBase, Accumulo, and Bigtable.

• Troubleshoot network connectivity, distributed storage, and infrastructure performance issues.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve infrastructure reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

Automation, Scripting & Technical Documentation

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Perl, Ruby, or comparable scripting languages.

• Automate routine system administration, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.

• Support the development of scripts and tools that improve cloud infrastructure management.

• Maintain technical documentation for system configurations, infrastructure automation, and operational procedures.

• Document troubleshooting activities, system changes, and implemented solutions.

• Recommend improvements to infrastructure administration, automation, and operational support processes.

• Collaborate with technical teams to support cloud system improvements and modernization initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with current Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) is required.

• Demonstrated experience administering and troubleshooting Linux systems.

• Experience using Docker for containerization and application deployment.

• Experience developing, configuring, or maintaining Helm charts.

• Experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.

• Knowledge of AWS CloudFormation or comparable CloudFormation implementations.

• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.

• Experience deploying, managing, or troubleshooting Kubernetes environments.

• Experience with Traefik for application routing, reverse proxy, or ingress management.

• Ability to remotely administer Linux systems using SSH.

• Experience installing and managing Linux software using RPM, YUM, or comparable package management tools.

• Ability to monitor system health, gather operational status information, and troubleshoot technical issues.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders.

Education, Certification & Experience Requirements

Candidates must meet the following labor-category requirements:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.

• Four (4) additional years of relevant experience on projects with similar requirements may be substituted for the bachelor's degree.

Certification & Experience

• Hadoop/Cloud System Administration Certification.

• Five (5) years of experience managing and monitoring large Hadoop clusters consisting of more than 200 nodes.

Additional Cloud System Administration Capabilities

• Implement, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain cloud systems and supporting infrastructure.

• Manage cloud infrastructure processes and provide day-to-day operational support.

• Monitor cloud systems, identify performance issues, and implement corrective solutions.

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for cloud infrastructure and associated services.

• Configure and optimize cloud servers, including security settings, patching, and troubleshooting.

• Support Secure the Enterprise and Secure the Net requirements and processes.

• Develop automation scripts using Python, Perl, Ruby, or comparable scripting languages.

• Demonstrate technical knowledge of peer-to-peer distributed storage networks, routing, and application messaging frameworks.

• Provision and sustain network infrastructure supporting secure PKI, IPsec, and VPN-enabled environments.

Clearance Requirements

Active TS/SCI security clearance with current Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) is required.

Salary Range: $66.56 to $88.74 per hour

Hourly pay rates listed for this position serve as a general guideline and are not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to Government contract rates; education; relevant prior work experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies; certifications; and geographic location. Hourly pay rates reflect the pre-benefit gross wage amounts.
