Cloud Technology Consultant

Cobaltix is looking for a senior technology consultant with experience working directly with clients, planning and implementing major technology projects. Time management and excellent communication are key. Our team IS our reputation, and clients rely on us, so learning on the job is a constant.

Total comp is $140k-$170k (base salary plus monthly bonus), with $5k-$10k signing bonus. This is a local role for someone who will go on-site for new client assessments, high-stakes projects and to build relationships with our clients. The average from someone in this role at Cobaltix is 3 days on site, 2 days remote. It is not a contract position.

These are the technology skills that are required:

• Azure architecture, migrations, and troubleshooting (cloud-only and hybrid environments)
• Hyper-V, VMware, and Veeam backup and disaster recovery planning
• Advanced Entra ID and Microsoft 365 identity management.
• Enterprise security including VPNs, MFA,SSO, EDR and ITDR solutions.
• Microsoft 365 architecture, administration, and security, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams
• Exchange Online mail flow architecture, administration, and troubleshooting, including enterprise mail security
• Intune, AutoPilot, and JAMF device management and deployment
• Advanced PowerShell and scripting using APIs; Bash and Python scripting
• Cloud networking in Azure, Meraki, Palo Alto and integration with physical infrastructure.

Real experience, not just book learning or certs. Other experience (AWS, Linux, storage, distributed environments) is a plus, too.

Growth and learning (and sharing what you know) are incredibly important to us. We really try hard and usually manage to work 40-hour weeks. Our clients value and appreciate the work we do. If you are still early in your career and only have basic skills, we do sometimes post for less senior positions, but this isn’t one of those. Sales Engineers and Project Managers won’t be a match for this position either.
