About our property:

The Flamingo Resort & Spa is a mid-century marvel in The Valley of the Moon. The buildings, rendered with natural materials and iconic angular silhouettes, are the work of master architect Homer A. What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Club Front Desk Lead plays a key role in ensuring exceptional service and efficient operations at the front desk of the health club. This position is responsible for leading front desk team members, maintaining a welcoming environment, managing daily operations, and assisting with member inquiries, check-ins, and appointments. The Supervisor serves as the first point of contact for members and guests and ensures a high standard of customer care is consistently delivered.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support front desk staff in daily operations, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service is provided at all times; resolve member concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee scheduling, shift coverage, and timekeeping for the front desk team.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the front desk and lobby area.
  • Assist with membership enrollments, cancellations, freeze requests, and billing inquiries.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, engineering, fitness instructors) to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and place orders as needed.
  • Enforce club rules and regulations to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all members and staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all guest and member information.

What are we looking for?

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a hospitality, fitness, or wellness environment.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in computer systems and POS software; prior experience with fitness club software is a plus.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Compensation:

$22.00

  • $24.00
