Medical Assistant – Site Lead | Corporate Health Center
Location:
San Francisco, CA 94105.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–4:30 PM.
Employment Type:
Full-Time, W-2, Non-Exempt.
Pay Range:
$72,000–$80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
Start Date:
ASAP.
Employer: California physician-owned professional corporation.
Administrative Agent: VitalCheck Wellness Inc. (non-clinical administrative support).

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant – Site Lead to support an onsite employee health center within a professional financial firm corporate environment in San Francisco.

This is a hands-on Medical Assistant position with additional responsibility for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Health Center. The Site Lead helps keep patient flow, staffing logistics, supplies, referrals, and routine clinic processes organized and running efficiently.

The Site Lead coordinates operational and staffing needs while working within Medical Assistant scope. Clinical decisions and matters outside MA scope are escalated to the appropriate licensed clinician.

What You'll Do:
Health Center Operations

  • Coordinate daily Health Center operations, patient flow, site readiness, and routine staffing logistics.
  • Serve as the primary onsite operational contact for PRN staff, schedule changes, and onboarding support.
  • Manage referral tracking, follow-up documentation, inventory, supplies, equipment, and vendor needs.
  • Support recurring team meetings, track action items, and communicate operational risks or follow-up needs to leadership.
  • Reinforce established workflows, policies, and checklists and escalate recurring operational, staffing, or compliance concerns.
  • Support scheduling, front-desk activities, patient communications, educational initiatives, and Health Center events as needed.

Medical Assistant

  • Perform patient intake, rooming, vital signs, phlebotomy, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, EKGs and vaccine administration within applicable scope and training requirements.
  • Prepare examination rooms and assist licensed providers with patient-care activities.
  • Support follow-up coordination and patient instructions as directed by the appropriate licensed clinician.
  • Maintain required clinical and operational documentation.
  • Escalate clinical questions, patient-safety concerns, and matters outside Medical Assistant scope to the appropriate licensed clinician.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant credential such as CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, another recognized Medical Assistant certification, or appropriate Medical Assistant education/training and demonstrated competency in accordance with California requirements and employer policy.
  • Candidates holding an active California CPT credential may also be considered if they have documentation demonstrating completion of California-required injection training and competency for vaccine administration, including the applicable didactic and supervised hands-on injection requirements. Vaccine administration will only be performed under appropriate written authorization and required supervision in accordance with California law.
  • An active, unrestricted California LVN license may also be accepted.
  • Current BLS (CPR) certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of Medical Assistant, LVN, or comparable outpatient clinical experience.
  • Strong, current phlebotomy skills.
  • Experience with patient intake, vital signs, specimen collection, EKGs, point-of-care testing, administration vaccinations and routine ambulatory clinical support.
  • Previous lead, coordinator, site-operations, or similar experience strongly valued.
  • Experience in primary care, occupational health, employee health, corporate health, or another ambulatory setting.
  • Strong organizational, communication, patient-service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple recurring workflows, work independently onsite, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems and standard office technology.
  • Ability to reliably commute to San Francisco, CA 94105.
