CMA/RMA or Medical Assistants - Brier Creek, Raleigh, NC

Position Overview

We are seeking reliable and compassionate CMA/RMA or Medical Assistants to join our healthcare team in the Brier Creek area of Raleigh, NC. This role supports providers in delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring efficient clinic operations. This is a great opportunity for college students seeking a summer position in the medical field, especially those studying healthcare or a related field and looking to gain hands-on clinical experience.

Schedule & Pay

• Pay:$20.00 - $22.00 per hour (based on experience)
• Start:Must be able to start immediately
• Schedule Requirements:
  • Sunday, Monday, Tuesday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and verifying information
• Assist physicians and providers during examinations and minor procedures
• Perform clinical tasks such as injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection as permitted
• Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Schedule patient appointments and manage follow-up care
• Maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness, stocking, and compliance with infection control protocols
• Handle patient inquiries, phone calls, and administrative tasks as needed
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies

Qualifications

• Required:
  • CMA, RMA, or relevant Medical Assistant experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Preferred:
  • 1+ years of clinical or outpatient experience
  • Experience with EMR systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, etc.)
