CMM Dimensional Inspector

Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is hiring a 2nd shift CMM Dimensional Inspector in the Westlake, OH area. This full-time role includes a salary of $45,000–$55,000 plus overtime, along with comprehensive benefits.

A day in the role

You arrive on second shift ready to open a new job traveler. Your first task: study the blueprint and customer specs, confirm GD&T callouts, and plan your approach. You set up precision measuring tools and the CMM, verify calibration status, and complete a first-piece inspection. As production moves, you run capability studies and in-process checks, meticulously documenting results and escalating any nonconformances you uncover. Between runs, you balance and verify components, keep inspection equipment in spec, and lend a hand training a newer inspector on best practices.

What you'll do

  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications with strong GD&T fluency.
  • Inspect parts and confirm dimensions, surface finish, hardness, and balance using precision instruments and inspection equipment, including CMMs.
  • Perform first-piece inspections, capability studies, and production quality checks to meet customer and internal requirements.
  • Record and analyze inspection data, report quality issues, and maintain complete, accurate documentation.
  • Calibrate and operate balancing and inspection equipment to ensure measurement integrity.
  • Support onboarding, training, and evaluation of new inspectors.
  • Handle additional quality and customer-related assignments as needed.

What you bring

  • Hands-on experience operating CMM equipment (required).
  • Knowledge of quality inspection methods, measurement tools, calibration practices, and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Ability to read prints and apply GD&T with understanding of coordinate systems.
  • Solid math aptitude and problem-solving capability.
  • Experience with precision gauges and inspection planning tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.

Compensation & benefits

Salary: $45,000–$55,000, plus overtime eligibility. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with company match; paid holidays and vacations; and tuition reimbursement.
