Job Description




Position Summary:


Level 1 - CMM Inspector demonstrate an expert ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T per ASME 14.5 standards, perform complex set-ups and operation of CMMs.


Shift:


  • Tuesday-Saturday, 7am-3:30pm, training will be Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm.


Reporting Relationships:


The CMM Inspector - Level 1 reports directly to the Inspection Supervisor.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


  • First part inspection of machined parts utilizing DCC CMM's running PCDMIS Software and or manual inspection methods
  • Final inspection of Aerospace product
  • Enter data using Syteline/ESI or other ERP systems as directed
  • Arrange inspection work queues to identify priority work, move completed work to next staging area
  • Identify and segregate non-conforming product
  • Conduct product verification in accordance with inspection plans and applicable process practices used in the work center
  • Actively follow instructions as required in all aspects of the work assignment and have a working knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment including, but not limited to, surface plates, micrometers, height gauges, radius gauges, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and Coordinate Measuring Machines.
  • May occasionally perform special projects
  • Other duties as assigned




Required Skills/Experience:

  • Solid experience with CMM's with proven history.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T) methods per ASME 14.5
  • Good knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment including, but not limited to, surface plates, micrometers, height gauges, radius gauges, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (running PCDMIS software).
  • Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to use Syteline/ESI or other ERP systems after instruction
  • Blueprint reading and basic math skills
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Ability to professionally communicate and work cooperatively with others
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic English language skills and the ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructions
  • Willingness to learn
  • Vision test required per customer specifications
  • 2+ years with recent aircraft machine shop experience

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $27.25 to $47.25 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter
