    CMM Metrology Quality Assurance Technician

    What you’ll do

    • Set up and execute detailed mechanical and visual inspections on parts, components, and assemblies.
    • Operate and interpret results from CMMs, FARO Arm, and Keyence Wide Area CMM.
    • Use micrometers, calipers, height stands, optical comparators, thread/plug gauges, gauge blocks, and plating thickness gauges.
    • Perform final product/assembly checks, first-piece approvals, and incoming vendor inspections to purchase order requirements.
    • Create formal inspection reports aligned with company procedures.
    • Identify non-conformances, notify production/assembly, and follow up on corrective actions.
    • Monitor quality trends and escalate improvement opportunities to management.
    • Recommend enhancements to inspection methods and equipment.
    • Interface with customer and government representatives.
    • Maintain an orderly, safe work area and follow all health and safety regulations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Your background

    • Associate’s Degree or equivalent technical school training
    • 5+ years of inspection experience with strong GD&T knowledge
    • Hands-on ability with Coordinate Measuring Machines
    • Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Initiative-taking problem solver and dependable team contributor

    Proficiencies

    • GD&T
    • AS9100 Quality Systems
    • Precision Measurement & Hand Metrology
    • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
    • Precision Measurement & Inspection
    • First Article Inspection (FAI)
