Our client is seeking a CMM Operator to perform dimensional inspections of precision aerospace components and verify conformance with drawings, models, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate coordinate measuring machines using established inspection plans
- Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections
- Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Analyze inspection results and prepare reports
- Identify and document nonconforming material
- Maintain inspection records
- Perform routine CMM checks and basic maintenance
- Maintain and back up inspection data
- Support calibration, audits, CAPA, RMAs, and customer-complaint activities
- Provide inspection guidance to production, quality, and engineering teams
Requirements
- Hands-on CMM operating experience
- CMM programming experience using PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar software
- Experience with First Article Inspection documentation
- Strong GD&T knowledge
- Ability to troubleshoot basic CMM issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Eligibility to obtain a Secret-level security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace manufacturing experience
Compensation
$25.00-$35.00 per hour.
