About the Role
This role is essential in maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy within our client's aerospace manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for conducting final and in-process inspections, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and contributing to various shop activities. Your expertise will help ensure that all products meet precise specifications and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret blueprints and drawings to meet product specifications.
Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other measuring equipment.
Select appropriate inspection methods and perform quality verification of parts and assemblies.
Analyze defective parts to identify reasons for dimensional variations.
Act as a point of contact for customer quality-related issues.
Coordinate gauge calibration and maintain thorough knowledge of ISO9001:2000 and AS9100 standards.
Develop manufacturing quality plans and perform AS/ISO audits.
Issue, monitor, and close Cause and Corrective Actions.
Minimum Requirements
Strong preference for PC-DMIS experience.
A minimum of five years of experience in aerospace quality processing and inspection.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is beneficial.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good math skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Training in Six Sigma and/or lean methodologies is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Physical activity, including standing, walking, and moderate lifting, is required.
Vision abilities such as close vision and focus adjustment are necessary.
