Summary
They are seeking a skilled Programmer to join their team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and optimizing programs for their precision manufacturing processes, ensuring that they continue to deliver high-quality orthopedic solutions.
Responsibilities
- Act as a point of contact for all CMM-related operations.
- Coordinate inspection priorities (First Piece, In-Process, Final) and delegate work to meet production schedules.
- Develop and verify programs for CMM and VMM systems using PC-DMIS and Calypso.
- Analyze part models and drawings to determine inspection strategy and tooling requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering to develop inspection techniques and custom fixturing.
- Maintain and optimize program databases, ensure compliance with ECNs and documentation standards.
- Lead training initiatives for programmers and operators on CMM/VMM equipment.
- Oversee routine and preventive maintenance of metrology equipment.
- Recommend improvements and new technology to enhance inspection efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform hands-on inspection and create detailed reports when needed.
- Support 6S and Lean initiatives across the QC department.
Salary: $75,000 - $120,000
- 3 years of experience in programming CNC machines, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ISO 13485 and/or ISO 9001 preferred.
- Hands-on knowledge of metrology tools (micrometers, height gages, calipers, thread gages, etc.).
- Strong GD&T interpretation skills.
- Proficient in CMM programming (Hexagon & Zeiss systems), and using PC-DMIS & Calypso software.
