Role & Responsibilities

  • We are seeking a CMM Programmer II for a leading aerospace manufacturer in the Kent, WA area - a great opportunity for someone with hands-on CMM programming experience in high-precision, AS9100-regulated manufacturing environments looking to advance their quality engineering career.
  • Develop, modify, and optimize CMM programs from engineering drawings and CAD models using PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso, MCOSMOS, or PolyWorks.
  • Perform first article inspections (AS9102) independently, as well as in-process, receiving, and final inspections; generate inspection reports and communicate nonconformance findings.
  • Support new product introductions, troubleshoot measurement issues, and collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering teams to drive continuous process improvement.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements (ASME Y14.5); mentor junior programmers and inspectors on measurement techniques and best practices.
  • Maintain compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 standards; verify calibration status of measurement equipment and support internal and external audits.

Essential Qualifications

  • 3-7+ years of CMM programming experience in aerospace manufacturing, including CNC-machined parts, sheet metal, or assembly inspection.
  • Proficiency in CMM software (PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso, MCOSMOS, or PolyWorks); strong GD&T knowledge (ASME Y14.5), blueprint reading, and CAD model interpretation.
  • Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Quality Assurance, Engineering Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
