Title: CMM Programmer
Location:Midland, GA
Salary Range : $100k to 115k/Annum
Employment: Full time

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced CMM Programmer with strong expertise in CMM programming and dimensional inspection within aerospace or precision manufacturing environments.

Responsible for developing, validating, and optimizing CMM programs for complex aerospace engine components and precision-machined parts.

Collaborate with quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure compliance with customer, OEM, and aerospace quality standards.

Support inspection activities, process improvements, and metrology initiatives to maintain high product quality and manufacturing accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, modify, and validate CMM programs using Camio, Calypso, PC-DMIS, or similar metrology software.

Perform dimensional inspections on complex aerospace components, including rotating hardware, structural parts, and precision features.

Interpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, GD&T requirements, and customer specifications to ensure accurate measurements.

Generate inspection reports, support AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) activities, and maintain inspection documentation.

Technical Responsibilities

Conduct program verification through dry runs, correlation studies, and repeatability testing to ensure measurement accuracy.

Troubleshoot dimensional issues related to fixturing, machine capability, environmental conditions, and part setup.

Support calibration, maintenance, and performance monitoring of CMM equipment and inspection systems.

Utilize automation, scripting, templates, and best practices to improve inspection efficiency and standardization.

Required Skills

Strong experience in CMM Programming with Camio, Calypso, PC-DMIS, Hexagon, Nikon, LK, or similar metrology platforms.

Solid understanding of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, dimensional analysis, and 3D CAD models.

Experience inspecting tight-tolerance aerospace or precision-machined components.

Knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, SPC, MSA, and aerospace quality requirements.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

2 5+ years of experience in CMM programming, metrology, or quality inspection within manufacturing environments.

Experience with aerospace hardware, engine components, rotating parts, or complex precision assemblies is preferred.

Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
