What You Will Do: Join Hayes Performance Systems as a CMM Programmer / Quality Control Supervisor and play a key role in ensuring the quality and compliance of precision-manufactured components. This position combines technical quality expertise with team leadership, supporting inspection processes, customer requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. In this role, you'll partner with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to drive product quality, solve manufacturing challenges, and maintain the standards that support customer satisfaction and operational excellence. How You Will Do It: - Develop, program, and optimize CMM inspection routines using PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso, or PolyWorks
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T requirements, and customer specifications
- Perform and support First Article Inspections (FAI), PPAP submissions, and capability studies
- Investigate quality issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Oversee inspection activities, product disposition, and quality hold/release processes
- Conduct internal audits and verify compliance with quality standards and customer requirements
- Develop and maintain quality procedures, inspection plans, and related documentation
- Lead, coach, and support quality inspectors and technicians across multiple shifts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality performance and manufacturing processes
- Monitor inspection results and quality metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives
What We Look For: - High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree, Technical degree, or coursework in Metrology, Quality, or Engineering preferred
- 3+ years of hands-on CMM programming experience using PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso, or similar software
- Experience supervising or leading quality personnel in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, APQP, PPAP, ISO/IATF standards, calibration systems, SPC, and capability studies
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Bonus:
- Experience supporting automotive, powersports, or precision machining environments
- Experience with PolyWorks, advanced metrology systems, or customer-specific quality requirements
- Knowledge of Minitab or other statistical analysis tools
