  • Precision Inspection: Perform visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections on complex internal and purchased parts. Utilize ROMER arms and hand tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges).
  • AS9102 Compliance: Lead the completion of First Article Inspection (FAI) packages (Forms 1, 2, and 3) with minimal oversight.
  • Data Analysis: Interrogate MBD parts using Enovia PLM and CATIA CAD software. Apply expert-level GD&T principles to verify engineering requirements.
  • Quality Resolution: Identify rejection trends, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions. Manage non-conformance documentation and calibration records.
  • Mentorship: Assist in training lower-level inspectors and promote a culture of safety, ethics, and continuous improvement.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment (Aerospace highly preferred).
  • Industry Knowledge: Proven experience with receiving/source inspection of processed, painted, and assembled parts.
  • Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • Tools: Expert use of all standard hand-measuring instruments and optical comparators.
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex technical data for diverse audiences and collaborate across production and engineering teams.
