Job Description
Create, modify, and optimize CMM and automated inspection programs using CAD models and engineering drawings. Perform program validation, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure accurate inspection results. Support inspection activities for precision-machined components using a variety of metrology equipment. Analyze measurement data, generate detailed inspection reports, and communicate findings to support production and engineering teams. Conduct GR&R studies, correlation analysis, and verification of inspection methods and systems. Design operator-friendly interfaces and prompts to improve inspection efficiency and usability. Assemble, calibrate, qualify, and maintain CMM stylus systems, fixtures, and related inspection equipment. Identify and implement fixturing solutions to support accurate inspection of complex components. Maintain documentation including inspection plans, calibration records, validation reports, and quality records. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and process enhancement. Ensure compliance with ISO-regulated procedures, quality standards, and internal processes. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, machining, quality, and production teams to resolve technical challenges.

The Successful Applicant
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience programming CMM systems using automated inspection software. Certification or advanced training in inspection software such as Calypso, PC-DMIS, Modus, ATOS, or equivalent. Strong understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards. Experience interpreting engineering drawings, CAD models, and geometric tolerancing. Ability to perform GR&R studies, measurement system analysis, and inspection validation activities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and technical software tools. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Experience working within a manufacturing, machining, or quality environment is highly preferred.
